ABOUT US

The Jewish Basketball Association is an adult basketball league, located in Monsey, New York, whose members are 90% Shomer Shabbos professionals from all walks of life. We have doctors, businessmen, students, executives, stockbrokers, and teachers.

The spirit and camaraderie of the games is hard to match anywhere else. It is a high level of competition, with many games going into overtime. The secret of the success of the JBA is the overriding principle of parity that governs the league.

Every season all the teams are reshuffled, and a draft is held to insure that all the talent (or lack thereof) is evenly distributed. As people pay to play, and pay to enjoy themselves - dynasties do not exist. A team that does enjoy a huge domination one season, (rare as that is) will be dismantled, and everyone starts from scratch the next season.

Games are played in the Monsey Area every Wednesday evening from September through June and are reffed by NCAA certified referees. There are two seasons per year. September through January, and February through June.
